PPF’s 8mm thickness allows most rocks to hit your vehicles paint without fully penetrating the film and causing damage to your vehicle's paint.
Ceramic coatings can be applied on top of PPF. The coating creates an additional barrier for debris and water while not negatively impacting the PPF.
It is best to wait 3 days after installation to ensure that the film has fully cured. After curation you can take your car through a car wash or pressure wash it. It is worth mentioning to be somewhat conscious and careful around the edges, as water from a pressure washer can sometimes lift those edges.
Ceramic coatings add a hydrophobic, UV protectant layer that is scratch resistant. Ceramic coatings enhance the durability of your paint by adding an addition layer of protection for the life of your car.
Vinyl wraps do help protect your vehicle from UV exposure as well as some scratch resistance. However, because of the lack of thickness of vinyl, it doesn’t offer the same level of protection as PPF does.
